Volunteering with Art in Tanzania will give you to the opportunity to participate in in many projects that need your help and support. During your time in Tanzania you can work with orphanages, schools, women organizations, environmental and health projects, sport coaching IT training programs, special needs programs , and after care work We can also tailor a project for you depending on your skills and experience. Art in Tanzania assists you in contacting our country representatives and for special programs packages or tasks you can contact us directly also.

You can also select a safari community work package where your safari is part of your donation.

Zanzibar
      

Zanzibar - New Project Site!
We are in the final processes to open the operations in Zanzibar. After finishing the due diligence process with the Zanzibar Government we estimate that we will be ready to launch the Zanzibar volunteering at the end of November 2008. If you have a special interest to volunteer in Zanzibar please feel free to ask about the project progress.

Zanzibar
Volunteer on the world famous Zanzibar Islands. As many of our volunteers visit Zanzibar during their stay in Tanzania, we decided to open volunteering projects there as well. You can volunteer in wide range of projects from nursery schools to women groups. Accommodation is at a volunteers house or at a host families home depending on the placement location.

Cost for the Zanzibar volunteering package is 300 usd per week, including port and/or airport transfers in Zanzibar, accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner at house, house cleaning, security, 24 hour support, orientation and placement guidance. If you arrive via Dar es Salaam we can arrange one night stay at the Dar es Salaam volunteering facility, airport and port transport, ferry ticket to Zanzibar for the cost of 100 usd. IN Zanzibar there are many different activities that you can take part in such as swimming with dolphins etc.

The Zanzibar program starts every first and third Monday of the calendar month.

Our in country agents provide tailored packages from 2 to 12 weeks with some adventure options included. We also have several options to volunteer for periods of 2 weeks to 2 years.
Adventures      
We arrange cultural wildlife safaris for wildlife lovers and enthusiasts. All safari programs are tailored upon your specific interests. Safari and adventure income is used to develop the community work projects.
