Educational and Vocational Training
Like many African countries, Tanzania is badly affected by poverty and HIV, meaning the country has a large number of orphans and street children. We provide vocational training for orphans in Dar es Salaam, teaching practical and business skills. We also operate in numerous Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools, where you will provide training in English, handicrafts, agricultural programs, IT, sports, arts and small-scale business projects.

This program is ongoing and we can take participants in every first and third Monday of each calendar month.

Environmental Projects
Deforestation is a fundamental problem in Tanzania, with people felling trees for fuel. This project introduces simple manual machinery to produce firebricks from the abundant waste materials available. We teach firebrick production to local communities in Dar es Salaam, who then transfer their skills to the villages around the country in the form of own businesses. The project also includes testing available waste materials other efficiency measures. You will assist in teaching and training as well as in the testing program, alongside delivering information to rural areas.

This program is ongoing and we can take participants in every first Monday of each calendar month.

Computer and Internet Basics
Unemployment is growing in Tanzania, specifically in towns and cities like Dar es Salaam. Our IT training projects teach young job seekers computer skills to equip them for the workplace, beginning with the basics of Excel, Word and simple accounting, before demonstrating how to use the internet, both as an office tool and as a means of marketing their skills and connecting with potential clients. You will teach basic computer literacy, and can also lead your own classes based around your own specific IT skills.

Web site Production
Most of the skilled artists and handicraft professionals in Tanzania have yet to exploit the potential of the internet for marketing their products. Our web site projects places volunteers with various small businesses, where you collaborate to create web sites to deliver effective information about their products and services.
