Educational & Vocational
Training
Tanzania as all the Sub Saharan African countries
are badly affected by the poverty and HIV. The
number of orphans and street children is growing.
We provide vocational training for the orphans
in Dar es Salaam. The project aims to teach the
orphans to start and join small-scale businesses
and other activities to able them to earn their
own daily livelihood. Thereon we operate in numerous nursery, primary and secondary schools where the typical subject is English teaching.
We provide training
in English language, handicrafts, agricultural
planting programs, computing and Internet use,
sports, arts and small-scale projects as producing
firebricks etc. This program is ongoing and we
can take participants in every first and third
Monday of a calendar month.
Target group: Children
Environmental
Projects
Tree cutting is a fundamental problem in Tanzania.
People cut forests to produce charcoal that is
the main energy source for the daily cooking practices.
This project introduces simple manual machinery
to produce firebricks from the abundant source
of waste materials available. We teach the firebrick
production practices for youth in Dar es Salaam
who then further on deliver the skills to the
villages around the country, as their own small-scale
businesses. The project also includes testing
of the available waste materials, their heating
power and other efficiency.
You will be assisting
in teaching and training process as well as in
the testing program as well as in the information
process for the people.
This program is
ongoing and we can take participants in every
1st Monday each month.
Target group: Youth
Computer
and Internet Basics
Tanzanian
youth unemployment is a growing problem. Specifically
in towns like Dar es Salaam where the young people
come from the villages to try their luck to find
better living. They mostly get just disappointed.
We are training
the target groups to use computers, mainly computer
basics as excel and word and simple accounting.
Thereon we teach them to use Internet to market
their products, to find a customer and to communicate.
Many young people have practical skills in handicrafts,
carving, batik making and other traditional skills,
but they do not find a buyer for their products,
as they have few means to express themselves and
to communicate with a possible client. A person
who knows how to use Internet in Tanzania can
then access it through the small Internet cafe's
at very low cost.
You will conduct
a training program that can be managed with just
the basic personal skills that all the people
in the Western world are familiar with.
This program is
ongoing and we can take participants in every
1st Monday each month.
Target group: Children
and youth
